2. What is a Covered Warrant (CW)?
A covered warrant is a security with collateral issued by a securities company, allowing the owner the right to buy (call warrant) or sell (put warrant) the underlying security to the organization issuing the warrant at a predetermined price, at or before a specified time, or receive the difference between the exercise price and the price of the underlying security at the time of exercise.
4. Which securities companies are allowed to issue warrants?
In Vietnam, securities companies that are allowed to issue warrants are securities companies that are operating and have been licensed by the State Securities Commission. These securities companies must comply with the provisions of the law on warrants, including regulations on licensing, conditions for issuance, management and distribution of warrants.
The issuance of warrants is clearly regulated in Vietnamese legal documents, including the provisions of the Securities Law and decisions and guiding circulars of the State Securities Commission. Securities companies must meet financial requirements, risk management and ensure transparency when issuing warrants.

Investors will receive cash payments if the CW held is profitable, minus expenses and taxes.
