• A covered warrant is a security with collateral issued by a securities company, allowing the owner the right to buy (call warrant) or sell (put warrant) the underlying security to the organization issuing the warrant at a predetermined price, at or before a specified time, or receive the difference between the exercise price and the price of the underlying security at the time of exercise.

• In Vietnam, securities companies that are allowed to issue warrants are securities companies that are operating and have been licensed by the State Securities Commission. These securities companies must comply with the provisions of the law on warrants, including regulations on licensing, conditions for issuance, management and distribution of warrants.
• The issuance of warrants is clearly regulated in Vietnamese legal documents, including the provisions of the Securities Law and decisions and guiding circulars of the State Securities Commission. Securities companies must meet financial requirements, risk management and ensure transparency when issuing warrants.

• Stocks: Unlimited Loss
• Warrants: Maximum fixed loss equal to warrant purchase fee

• Transaction fees: similar to stocks

  Transaction tax: CW sale tax = CW matching price x CW quantity x 0.1%

  Rights exercise tax = Underlying Securities settlement price x (CW quantity/conversion rate) x 0.1%

Investors will receive cash payments if the CW held is profitable, minus expenses and taxes.

Currently in Vietnam, only European-style warrants are allowed to be issued, so it is not possible to exercise the rights before the maturity date.

Only ACBS customers can buy IPO warrants issued by ACBS. If you are not an ACBS customer, you can buy warrants issued by ACBS after the warrants have been listed.

• Investors register to BUY at the time the issuer offers for sale in the primary market
• Investors BUY, SELL in the secondary market (similar to stock trading) after the warrant is listed on the Stock Exchange.
